Does anyone else have horrible insomnia? It is currently 2:15am where I live and I am unable to fall back to sleep. What does everyone do to help them get some sleep?
I have experienced terrible insomnia in the past.
You have to wind down about an hour before bed. Turn off your devices. Cell, TV(Eppp!) A nice bath or shower.
Quiet time. You basically have to train your brain and body that it is time to rest. It doesn't always work. But if you can quiet your body and mind it does help. Being wakeful and restless as well is terrible.
Sending loving understanding hugs
I take clonazepam as needed, but no more than twice a week. Keeping a cool room at night(63-68) really helps. I also use a white noise machine..

Hope that you can get to sleep try and silence your mind, stop it from racing and think of pleasant things try some Lavender Oil near your pillow.
Drink a sleep tea, or a Hot Chocolate have a bath with some lovely smelling Epsom Salts.
Many Blessings to You and your Family.🎄🌹🙂
I began Amitriptyline just over a year ago. It has significantly helped me sleep. I take it at night. Adding this pill to my regular regime of night meds made a BIG difference. I have had insomnia for over three decades. I just forgot what real, tired, beautiful sleepiness was like. It works 95% !
I don't feel tired when I wake up the next day.
Best of Luck to fellow insomniacs,
