I always feel like my age is actually 60+ even though I am only 34. Sore knees etc. makes me feel like my body is going to fall apart eventually. Wish I could actually feel my age again.

Members deeply resonated with the feeling of being trapped in a body that feels decades older than their actual age, with many describing feeling 30 to 40 years older due to fibromyalgia's relentless impact on joints, energy, and mobility. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them cope, including taking iron, vitamin D, and B12 supplements, pacing activities carefully to avoid flares, and pushing through pain with regular walking despite knee soreness. A recurring theme was the bittersweet comparison to older friends or family members who remain active and pain-free, highlighting both the invisible burden of fibromyalgia and the determination to keep moving forward despite feeling ancient in a young body.

That's true. Fibro makes all of us feel much older than we are. Try and stay positive if possible!!

Yes I understand how you feel I even take iron supplements because of iron deficiency Anemia, also take Vitamin D capsules and have a Vitamin B12 injection every couple of months.

But it doesn't help my aches and pains at times I feel like I am 90 years old when in fact I am 61 years old.

Unfortunately Fibromyalgia is unforgiving in the symptoms that you get and you have to know your limitations, I have learnt this thinking I feel great today and try getting all the cleaning done in one day. Which brings on a Flare!

Oh my gosh. I say that all the time! The only difference is I'm 59 and feel 90. I look at active some seniors in their 80s and I wonder how nice that would be.
