Skin Sensitivity
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I use to be alright and not that sensitive to certain materials like cotton, but now even cotton irritates my skin and feels scratchy when touching with my hand or skin. How do you guys deal with this is there something I can do?

You can try buying Organic Cotton or Bamboo Clothing Products.
Make sure that you don't use any Skin Creams that have a fragrance in them.
Also don't use Washing Detergents with fragrances in them this also includes Liquid Body Washes.
You can try using a Barrier Cream over your skin if all else fails please get a referral to a Skin Specialist.

Me too ,has to be soft. Use unscented fabric softener, Organic cotton is awesome.

I had this problem 30 years ago when I first came down with fibro. It went away and is now back with a vengeance! My skin itches and burns also....I believe it is all sensitivity of the nerves. Hang in there...I think it's fairly common with our illness. How long have you had fibromyalgia?

I'm the same. I can't wear the same clothes all day it's excruciating. I change at least 3 times a day. X
