I am curious if anyone has tried a program called ANS rewire? It’s an online course that’s is supposed to help you rewire your autonomic nervous system. There are testimonies from people with fibromyalgia and ME/CFS.
Just thought I’d ask… trying to help myself without adding another medication. I’m on so many right now.

Members responded to a question about ANS Rewire, an online program claiming to help fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome by rewiring the autonomic nervous system, with several warning that both their naturopathic specialists and rheumatologists had patients who found it to be an overpriced scam that doesn't work. Many members shared caution about programs that promise to cure or help people recover from conditions that currently have no cure, noting they've been exploited by false promises before. A recurring theme was the ongoing struggle to find relief, with members exchanging medication experiences (including Lyrica's side effects like weight gain, dizziness, and in one case a severe skin reaction), discussing alternatives like Lamictal for nerve pain, and expressing both frustration and solidarity in navigating chronic illness together.

Hi Debra, hope all is well with you. ☺️
This sounds intriguing but I personally am cautious of anything, whether a supplement, cream, program, etc.. that claims to “cure.” I’ve checked their website. There is no cure for FM or CFS/ME currently. They don’t use that term but do use the term “recover” which to me is pretty much the same. I’m always open to trying most things but there are people who exploit chronically ill people with false promises, I have been sucked in many times lol. Like anything, it depends on the risks, cost and how willing you are to give it a try. I have tried many, many things and most make false or exaggerated claims. Then again, different things do work for different people.

How are you doing with the LDN? I truly hope it helped you.
Take care 😊💕

Hi Debra:
I don’t think there is any problem taking Amitriptyline and Lamictal together other than an increase in dizziness and drowsiness. However, since you’re using it to sleep should be okay, but of course the doctor and pharmacist will advise you. Along with being an anti-convulsant, this drug is a mood stabilizer too and used off label not only for nerve pain but to treat depression in Bipolar disorder. So it seems to treat several health issues. So far, it’s helpful but no miracle drug!

We moved again from the first condo. We didn’t really like it and moved to a more central downtown location, closer to my husband’s work and in a very vibrant area with lots of restaurants, etc. Beautiful walking area so I’m trying to walk more within my energy resources. There’s no pool, which was lovely to have at the old place but there is a community centre literally right next door a few steps away with a fantastic pool and, once things are up and running, they run aqua fit classes. Looking forward to using this pool.

I really hope you find something to help with your pain dear Debra. Take good care and try to stay cool in the summer heat! Olga 🤗🤗💕💕

Hi Debra, I’m so sorry the LDN didn’t work. I was so hopeful for you. I gave up on it after a year and at least 2K spent! But like you, I just want to get better…even 60% would be awesome!

I’m also sorry you feel dizzy and off balance on Lyrica. I tried it a few years ago and did not like that drug at all….. made me feel dizzy and foggy too, plus I put on 10lbs in 2 months on it 😱 🤯 My Neurologist recently prescribed Lamictal which, like Lyrica, is an anti-convulsant prescribed for nerve pain. It does not make me feel foggy and there’s no weight gain as a side effect. It’s a drug that has to be carefully titrated up and the only thing I have found is when the dose is increased I feel a bit groggy for the first couple of days for a couple of hours soon after taking it then it’s fine. I have found it has helped some. I find I don’t have to walk with a cane very often any more. Maybe see if you can switch to that if Lyrica is making you feel foggy or off balance. I wish you all the best my friend 💕💕🤗🤗

@A MyFibroTeam Member,
Unfortunately, the LDN didn’t help me. I’m currently talking Lyrica for pain and Amitriptyline for sleeping. The meds help but I feel drugged, off balance, dizzy on and off etc…
I appreciate your opinion on the course. I’ve wasted money on things too.
I guess like all of us… I want to be better.
I hope you’re enjoying the warmer weather up there in Toronto. It’s so hot down here. 🥵
Take care of yourself, sweet friend. 🙏💗
Debra
