Right now I'm sitting here with my face burning up and just feel hot all over. Just started about four hours ago. I know heat bothers me, but this seems worse than normal. Temp outside earlier was 95 and just walking to the mailbox and back made me feel horrible. It's 72 in the house now, and I'm still burning up. No fever. I'm on Synthroid because I don't have a thyroid anymore, but levels were fine two months ago. I'm 63 and had a hysterectomy five years ago, so not a female hormonal issue. I… read more
@A MyFibroTeam Member i just started Cymbalta 3 weeks ago and didnt even think that could be the cause! Thanks for the insight
Hi. Yes. I used to be a sun goddess. Not anymore. I hate the summertime. I can’t even walk up the stairs without drippping sweat down my head. Do simple chores I’m a sweaty beast! My doctor thinks it’s the norepinephrine in the cymbalta im taking. He says a lot of people can’t handle it cause of the sweating. So I’m in the process of weaning off the 30mg I was on very very slowly. Then he said we will figure out a plan from there after I’m off cymbalta if I need another medication still after I’m fully off it. He might be right though cause the extreme sweating started last year and that is when I started cymbalta. I will let you know if it stops once I’m off it. Fingers crossed it is a simple fix like the cymalta.
I cant tolerate excessive heat or cold. One thing I have found that helps a burning face is an ice roller. Ive got two from amazon.
My temperature goes up and down within minutes. Burning up then cold then sweating. I feel crazy
I am so sorry others are having this issue as well, but makes me feel better I'm not alone. The "hot face" didn't last a long time, but I am still really sensitive to heat in general. As someone else mention, it just drains all my energy very quickly and makes me feel awful. I'm also going to check into that ice roller Jenn99 uses.
