Any Tips For TMD Relief?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

My jaw is so sore when opening, closing, chewing, to touch. I am craving a big satisfying yawn especially as i cant sleep as i normally sleep in the recovery position but i cant bear my face to rest on the pillow, cant sleep on my back due to other pains. Ive tried ice packs, oral ibuprofen and ibuprofen gel so far xx

Hope everyone has a low pain day xx💜xx

That is great advice. This happened to me a lot a few years ago and I started taking fish oil for my TMJ and it made a massive difference. I know you need immediate relief but maybe check into it?

Maybe see a dentist and confirm you aren't clenching in your sleep.
This can hurt your jaw all the time and give you clicking, headaches etc
I clench alot and have been told a night guard would help me alot.
When I have money I will get one.
