Where Do You Get Your Motivation?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have none! Absolutely none. In my head it's great. Easy even. When I'm not hurting bad I want nothing more then to get up and start working on my to do list. Easy. Not even close! The want to is just not there and I don't know how to get it. I take a multi Vitamin with 1000 IU of D3 a day, Dr recommended. I also take 10mg of B-6 and 500mcg of B-12 a day. It has been amazing how well it's worked. It's just not quite enough. If I double up on my pain meds that really gives me the kick in the ass… read more

Could not agree with you more. Jesus Christ has been my motivator,
and peace and joy through all the long days alone as a child with fibro. He continued to be my peace and joy, as I took 13.5 yrs to finish college, and now as a wife and homemaker.

Like you, I have my down days, discouragements, pains. I certainly don't have my "to do" list finished. Still He is by my side, strengthening me, whether I am in a lot of pain, or when I have better days.

May God bless you.

When my get up and go, has gotten up and left ... Positive, encouraging music can sometimes motivate me to start doing something and then actually get up and out of that comfy chair. But please don't listen to songs that will start you crying, that's never going to help.

It helps to listen to uplifting Christian music as well.

I’m so sorry to hear that happened. That’s a deep sorrow to overcome sweetheart. Anyone would feel like God abandoned them. Have you gone to any grief groups or counseling? Terrible things happen to all of us in life. God is right there with you, even if you don’t feel Him. He loves you. But it can be a long process, to work out your sorrow, anger and grief. I wish you the best,💕 Victoria

I think that my motivation comes from my faith in Jesus Christ. If not for my faith, I don't know how I could keep going. I am not going to say that I have it all together because I don't. I get down. I get depressed. Jesus is faithful. He helps me get out of my funks.
