Members shared their struggles with body temperature regulation, describing sudden overheating, uncontrollable sweating (especially from the head and scalp), burning sensations in the feet, and swinging between extreme heat and cold. Several members offered practical strategies including taking vitamin D supplements (as low levels were linked to sweating issues), using pure peppermint oil on the neck for cooling relief, and taking nicotinamide pills morning and night. A recurring theme was the unpredictability and embarrassment of these symptoms, with many connecting them to fibromyalgia or thyroid conditions and emphasizing the importance of staying aware of body signals to avoid heat-related complications.

It doesn't matter the season, I have trouble regulating my body temperature. I am going from hot to cold most of the time. I don't have a thyroid, but take hormone. That may have something to do with it. I find it easy to disassociate from my body most of the time. I'm sure I learned this as a way to cope with it all. Otherwise I would be very unhappy.

I cant regulate temperature at all now, its horrible as i severely overheat in the miserable Scottish summers, it totally floors me and i run with sweat from head to toe for no reason, its not smelly sweat i just sweat from every pore head to foot. In winter and autumn im ok but my arthritis is unbearable.
