I feel like I’m immune. Ive had different antidepressants and pain meds, but I might as well be eating a skittle.
I had a strange conversation with dentist last year. He had taken a class on meds/different diseases, and said he had to give me more novacaine (for crown) as folks with fibro metabolize meds differently, but at same time are more sensitive to side effects! Maybe he's right? Maybe that's why it's so hard to find a medication that works for us???
Nothing works, they make me feel much worse because of the side effects. Getting to know what might trigger pain,; stress, movements, tight clothes, posture, heat, cold, food and how to prevent it from happening helps. Also, develop different symptom relief ideas, warm compress, light exercise, massage, comfortable outfit, good bed, pillows, meditation, relaxation , prioritizing tasks etc. I find helpful to manage fibromyalgia symptoms and pain.
Buy a Quell device and you will save mega bucks on meds ‼️
Its a combination of different meds working together. Pain Management doctor, GP, and a rheumatologist working together for your benefit. If you are in NJ I have a Dream Team. They will even recommend other doctors they know. If your doctors are not using a pain killer with Gabapentin, Naproxen, Cymbalta, and anything else that you can need, fire him and try again.
