Hi lovelies, just wondering if anyone has had the Oxford covid 19 vaccine and if so how it affected them? I'm due to have mine soon as I'm a carer for my clinically vulnerable partner but I'm terrified that it's going to cause a horrendous flair with pain. Hope everyone is well ❤️
I had the maderna about a month ago and I didn't have any symptoms and it didn't even hurt getting it. But the next day I couldn't lift my arm and it was pretty sore but it only lasted one day. I get my second vaccine next week and I'm a little worried since I've heard the second dose is what gives people symptoms such as fever and body aches. But I did hear that it only lasts for a day. I'm hoping it goes well. I'll keep you guys posted.
Thought I'd update you all, had the astra vaccine yesterday afternoon (12.30) i thought I wasnt going to have any side effects but I woke up at 2am with high temp, chills the most ridiculous pains in my shins, back, arms and ankles. The man I spoke with at the vaccine hub did warn me before I had the Jab that my age group seem to suffer alot with side effects and because of fibro I will probably be in alot of pain, now dosed up on pain meds and a Beechams. Hope everyone else is well xxx
Second Jab update... Spent the evening being sick but was fine after 24hours just very tired.
@A MyFibroTeam Member glad yours went well and the bf wasn't too bad 🎉
Sorry for the late update but the second shot went well. No symptoms other than a sore arm but nothing compared to the first time. I'm sorry you had such a bad reaction @A MyFibroTeam Member . My boyfriend got really sick after his first shot. He had a fever but it was only for one day.
I’ve had both .
