Ugh Why!!!
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Why do all of these medications that we need to help us have more normal lives make us gain weight??? 😕 If it’s not one problem it’s another!

I never had cravings until I started medications. Wish that I was offered a prescription for weight loss at the same time starting a prescription that gains weight.

I am on Hydroxclorquin it is the only one that has not caused me to gain large amounts of weight! Cymbalta, Welbutron, Lyrica, and a long list of other I experienced the worst of the side effects in addition to doubling my weight

Oh it’s so much more than eating less, that’s a terrible response from the doctor. It’s all about portion size, eating healthy and remaining physical. The problem I have with the medications is they make me crave sugar and I try really hard to ignore it but it is tough. I’ve heard so many people have put on weight due to certain medications, I believe it has a lot to do with the cravings.
