yes and i think trying to control it helps,, i think some of this goes hand in hand,, anxiety = muscle pain
and i will add this,,, there is an opiod crisis for a reason,, I too have an opioid prescription and when i do take a half or a whole (small dose 5 mg) it calms the anxiety like nothing else and takes away the pain,, so maybe the medical community needs to figure out how it works and create something that isnt addicting (ie needs constant increasing till we die) to treat this curse called fibromyalgia
I take a half of an opioid with an onset. It helps some. My hubby calms me down.
Drugs only help the symptoms . You must het to the source to cure. EMDR therapy works the best as it gets deeper into the brain . I go after trying everything else unsuccessfully , but they were stepping stones . Look for the best EMDR in your area .
My doctors also have me on opiods (fentanyl 50 patch and oramorph for breakthrough pain) i try to only use the oramorph as a last resort but i do find my it helps to a degree and has given me a slightly better quality of life, also my patch really help with my pain. My doctors have told me that they want to taper these off in the new year but they have not said how they will replace them which is not helping with my anxiety 😕
Ive just been prescribed a small amount of diazepam hopefully they work to calm me down🤞
