I tend to find that the most intense sharp pains are fleeting but the more aching pains (the ones you can carry on with your normal day) they tend to be there more long term.

When I was 1st diagnosed with fibromyalgia I was sensitive to touch but I didn't experience pain so I didn't quite understand fibromyalgia. But as it's progressed, I got more random odd shooting pains and they became more patterned and consistence and then last year I was diagnosed with small fiber peripheral neuropathy and research shows that peripheral neuropathy is common in over 50% of people with fibromyalgia.

The deep intense joint pain I now have is from increasing osteoarthritis.

I get some that come and go they are much more intense can last up to 2 days or so. But i have pain constantly aswell.

Yes mine come on for at least 3 days the most

I have it both ways. The ones that stay tend to increase my anxiety. I have upper abdominal pain that has now lasted 3 weeks and no real hope of it going away. This illness sucks. I wish you the best.
