In all ways, pain and other symptoms, as well as psychological.
I think childbirth is in a class by itself. Fibromyalgia is also a different pain. Can't compare them in any way. The only thing they have in common is pain, but each is a different pain. Not the same at all.🦋🌲

Ah, now I understand your question. But......there is a lot more to fibro than pain. Fibromyalgia is not a cookie cutter illness, there are several symptoms. There is no cure or control of what is happening to our bodies daily.....so everyday we have to adapt to our ailing bodies. I don’t think you can compare the two. At the end of labor you have a beautiful baby and forget about the pain. With fibromyalgia, there isn’t a happy ending.
Thank you all for your answers! Penelope, yes this is a genuine question. No i don’t want to know how pregnancy affects fibromyalgia. My mother and I were having a conversation about different types of pain and what hurts worse than what.
I agree with Downhill.. childbirth is temporary. Fibro is pretty much always with us in varying degrees. Pain can be mild to severe. Sometimes I can control symptoms, but other times, I can’t. Stress of any kind can send me into a bad flare.
