As I understand fibro can mess with your temperature regulation. I go in and out of sweats 24/7, and I'm 66yo, so definately not menopause, been there done that. Also, most antidepressants can cause an increase in sweating.

I have them every time I just start to doze off. They come on so fast and strong I am suddenly awake again and panting. You remember that wonderful feeling off drifting peacefully to sleep? Just at that moment it happens! It sure doesn't help the sleep problem. I can also get them coming out of a flare at random times, day or night. I believe it's the fibro too. What isn't at this point?

found an interesting article about Hyperhidrosis Disorder (excessive sweating) on the website 'healthline'. I have been suffering from this for 18 months now without any reprieve. It looks like it has something to do with the stress responses associated with fibro, which fits in to how my sweats occur. Whenever I have to change an activity or am faced with something different in my routine (simple things like a change in time scale) or a sudden change in conversation or expectation I break out. The night sweats are getting worse, but I have realised this is due to the fact that I find sleep very stressful and my anxiety levels increase through the night, waking me with unrealistic anxiety and sweats.
