*WARNING* men may not want to read 😬 👀 😬

I haven’t had a period in 11-12 years, 3 weeks ago I had light spotting. It’s happened 3 more times since then. I didn’t think it was a big deal....until I googled it today 😨 I called my gynecologist, she is out until next Wednesday and is booked through the end of October. The receptionist said she was going to email the doctor, she said she is sure she will squeeze me in soon. Between googling and the receptionist saying the doctor will want to see… read more

Members shared vulnerabilities and practical support around postmenopausal spotting, echoing the original poster's concerns about bleeding after years without a period. Several members shared that they experienced similar symptoms, with most attributing it to vaginal atrophy, UTIs, or other benign causes, though some mentioned cancer had been a factor in their family or personal history. A recurring theme was the importance of vaginal ultrasounds and biopsies for proper diagnosis, alongside practical strategies like using Premarin cream to help with severe vaginal dryness before medical procedures, managing IBS-related confusion with pelvic pain, and advocating fiercely for oneself despite the discomfort and anxiety of invasive exams.

My Gynecologist called today. I have to go in for an ultrasound and a biopsy on Sept 28th. I should have asked if they can numb my hoo hoo because I know it’s going to be excruciating 😨😢

Yes, I love it when people, professionals as well, say for you to exercise. There are some days, like yesterday, that I could barely get my act together. Now today, on the other hand, I had a burst of energy. Don't ask me where it came from. I only get them once in a blue moon. Cleaning the apartment, cooking supper, of course, until I got a kleenex stuck in the vacuum cleaner. It never fails. I am glad that you let me rant. So today, maybe, I might have felt like exercising, but I don't expect to have another one of these days for months, months and months. Take care. Gentle virtual hugs. Stay safe.

dont worry until there is something to worry about. If you are sexually active it could just be vaginal thinning, but you are doing the right thing getting it checked out. dont google to much you will make yourself crazy. the waiting and not knowing is the hardest part ,, believe me i know ,, hugs

My Dr. Office card ME today just because I had told the nurse at the knee place that I wouldn’t mind being dead! They ask those questions and I had recently fallen off
the toilet and was kind of joking. That was nice I thought. After reassuring them I did not want to kill myself, I got a hoo hoo app Tuesday! I apologized and warned that the dr. was really going to have to earn her pay. I just hate going but at least I’ll know if anything is going to fall out or if all this pain is just IBS playing with Fibro.. 🤭

Hi Penelope..I chickened out of my lady parts app but am going again as soon as possible. It hurts now big time . I think you should go to the hospital, they an do a quick mri or scan to make sure it’s not a clot. Tell them that is what you want to know now..it seems to be a no brainer, since you had it before.. I don’t think that is it tho.. I bet a UTI ..yup honey, I think you should go to the ER, just for piece of mind. ♥️🙏❤️🌹🌷
