I was born with scoliosis but over the years it is getting worse and more painful. Have done many sessions of physiotherapy which doesnt help at all. The daily pain on top of the fibro is tough to deal with. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same situation and what you do to help with pain relief. I have co codamol and a tens machine. Co codamol dont seem to touch it and tens machine is a temporary relief whilst using it. Have tried heat packs and cold packs but its a constant 24 hour pain… read more

Members connected over the challenging combination of scoliosis and fibromyalgia, with many describing constant, daily back pain that makes it difficult to distinguish which condition is causing flare-ups on any given day. Several members shared strategies that provide some relief, including electric blankets and heating pads for warmth, gentle yoga stretches and Sarah Beth Yoga videos on YouTube for low-pain days, TENS units for temporary comfort, chiropractic care with drop tables rather than bone-cracking adjustments, and medical cannabis. A recurring theme was frustration with doctors who either dismiss scoliosis pain as insignificant or are reluctant to prescribe stronger pain medications, leaving members to advocate for themselves and lean on the community for validation and practical ideas.

Yes, I too suffer from Scoliosis, and I do get chiropractor adjustments, and I use medical cannabis for pain relief. My chiropractor uses a drop table and is not a bone cruncher. Tens unit is also helpful.

I have it in my neck. I was seeing a chiropractor for that and my back but the past few weeks I cannot have him crack it or I will have the worst headache and neck pain. He just does massage and stretch which has been helping a little more.
