@A MyFibroTeam Member - I had the injections in my neck and shoulders. It was done at the Pain Management Clinic. I don't recall feeling anything. It was great. No pain for at least 2 months. They moved away from our city. We have a new one now and I will be going the 30th of June.

It sure is worth a try. If I can recall --even my energy increased.

@TriggerPointInjections - I have had them. It was through the Pain Management Clinic. I had one in my neckj nd one in each shoulder. It worked great. I can't really recall how long it lasted but I want to say from one appointment until the next which usually was about 4 to 6 weeks apart.

I am going back to the Pain Management Clinic June 30th - -the doctors of today know nothing about Fibromyalgia. Pain Management - -all they deal with is managing pain. I swear by the attention one gets as compared to a doctor's office. I highly recommend the Pain Management Clinics.

You are a very beautiful young lady and I am so sorry you need to go through this. I had it done 4 times. My doctor was the absolute best. The first time is always the worst for me, not knowing what to expect. No medication is needed. You change in a gown , the Doctor calls you in , you lay on you stomach if the pain is in the back. I have 3 seriously degenerative discs in my neck so I literally could not hold up my head because it felt heavier than my neck could handle. Anyways, they put a vice on your head to keep your head absolutely still. The doctor will inject the needles, which you do not see, into the areas that are immobile .It does hurt slightly. It was NEUROLOGICAL SURGEON who performed the treatment. Then, when I was at the Pain Clinic, the Head Doctor did it.When you finish your treatment have a hot cup of coffee waiting for you in the waiting area until the Doctor tells you to leave.My first time I actually fainted after because of my anxiety. I felt embarrassed but we are ALL different. Also, these treatments damage the bones over time, don't overdue it. This is my opinion and the Neurological surgeon. Good Luck Dear!

I've had the epidural in my lower back, it helps but only for short time for me? I go regularly to the pain clinic for lidocaine injections but it's done by intervenus? So that being said, it travels through the whole body! It works for some people but not so effective for me unfortunately? It only lasts for a short while, maybe because my spine is so messed up?

Does anyone do the ladicaine injections?
