I hurt all the time never get relief. My body aches in different places. My muscles feel tight and all the tender points hurt. Sometimes my skin burns in different places. Just wondering if what I'm feeling is valid and is it considered a flare. Does anyone get to the point that you don't know what to do anymore because you hurt so bad. Would like to cry but the tears just don't want to come. I just can't believe that this is the way I'm going to feel for the Rest of my life. Gentle hugs.

Members validated the original poster's experience of constant pain, tight muscles, burning skin, and tender points as legitimate fibromyalgia symptoms, with many emphasizing that a flare typically means pain more intense and widespread than usual baseline discomfort. Several members shared practical coping strategies including heat therapy, topical creams like Voltaren gel, gentle exercise and stretching, massage, dietary changes (like keto), mindful meditation, hot baths, and learning to pace activities to avoid triggering flares that can last anywhere from days to weeks. A recurring theme was the profound isolation of living with invisible pain that others cannot see or believe, balanced by deep gratitude for this community where members truly understand, encourage venting without judgment, and remind each other they are warriors who refuse to let fibromyalgia win.

All of this says it all. I try to not get discourage but some days it is hard. Most of us have more than Fibro to add to the crap. Knowing I been in pain since 19-20 an this is how it is makes it hard some days. But I count my blessings. I have a joy journal I been writing in for years. I write daily three things I am grateful for.

I have a sister who thinks I am wrongfully getting social security disability checks since I am not really sick. How it unfair that at such a young age I was getting checks while her husband and her had to still work. I know others understand this.

I have had too many doctors not believe me. I know others understand this.

By all accounts we look fine and are healthy. It starts from there even when you are in front of a doctor it starts from there it seems.

You are in a good place. This site is full of caring and knowledgeable people who when they say "We get it," or "We understand," you know they do.

Vent or ask or talk as much as you want.

Once when I had a Flare by overdoing the cleaning my back went into uncontrollable spasms, my whole body hurt it took a couple of weeks of taking it easy, and getting my husband to put some Deep Heat on my back to help ease the pain.

A Flare usually is pain that is more extreme than your normal, Fibromyalgia pain.

Also we are all individuals and Flares will be different in different ways for many of us.

Many people need much stronger pain medication, also using heat pads and creams.

Yes, everything youโ€™re feeling I feel and Iโ€™m sure most of us do. The hurt never goes away, but some days are a little better than others and you start to learn how to cope with your own symptoms, not easy. Takes time and perseverance . Everyoneโ€™s is a little different, but there are many commonalities with Fibro. And, many of us have other health issues with Fibro. Some Fibro related and some not. Stay strong and determined, donโ€™t let it define who you are. Itโ€™s difficult, but weโ€™re here for each other and give each other strength๐ŸŒท.
