I am 38 and worked as a Charge Nurse over 60-90 patients and over a dozen staff.
Now i can barely carry on a coherent conversation. I forget what Im talking about mid sentence, I forget words and I cant keep track of what Im doing. I cannot a name to save my life lol. My pet bunny was unwell the other day and made me worried and anxious and that was enough to turn me into a complete frazzled mess.
So I can totally relate with what you are saying. Hugs
I am 35 and have bad memory aswell. I find if my anxiety is down my memory is much better and concentration. After panicking about having Alzheimer's too I read some very informative articles about the big differences which eased my mind. Talking to your Dr about this can help calm the anxiety. :-)
That is very scary. Double check with doc but fibro fog and sleep deprivation can do a lot. Confusion is not necessarily the only thing that happens. I write down most everything and wind up making up words half the time because I can't find the word in my brain that I want to use.
I use sticky notes and a little recorder. It does not help my conversation but little tricks help my memory a lot.
I’m the same way at times... it comes and goes for me. I also can’t remember names of things or people. It’s especially bad when it happens at work, where I frequently have to give briefings and talk coherently with coworkers. I’m only 38, so Alzheimer’s isn’t overly realistic, but sometimes my head goes there too. Unfortunately, I think it is pretty normal for people with fibromyalgia, though...
