@A MyFibroTeam Member ... it was not melatonin, it was metformin. When I went to post, my phone auto corrected to melatonin and I didn't catch that error until another member @A MyFibroTeam Member pointed it out.

I use melatonin occasionally.
I like the time released version because it stretches out my sleep to make it longer. I don't usually need help going to sleep, but I wake up and can't get long enough sleep.
Sometimes I use hydroxyzine to help with sleep. Both were suggested by my neurologist and she prescribes the hydroxyzine.
I hope this info helps someone, even though this question is really about the recent metformin recall...
It gave my mum stomach problems. In the end she had to have insulin as the tablets upset her.

The article linked was for Metformin, which is a diabetes type two medicine which is only available through pharmacy with a prescription.

Melatonin is an over the counter sleep aid. I looked and didn't find any recalls for melatonin. 💛 🌟 💛
