Members shared their experiences with elevated high-sensitivity CRP levels in the context of fibromyalgia, with many confirming they also experience inflammation and similar test results that doctors sometimes dismiss when cardiac tests return normal. Several members offered practical approaches to managing inflammation, including turmeric supplements (300mg twice daily) or turmeric creamer in coffee, eating better, and weight loss, with one member noting significant improvement in swelling. A recurring theme was the frustration of receiving mixed messages from doctors and the reassurance that elevated hs-CRP levels in fibromyalgia patients may represent a lower actual cardiovascular risk than the numbers alone suggest, since fibromyalgia itself can account for chronic inflammation.
