Members confirmed that sudden stabbing or pin-prick sensations while resting are a common and frustrating symptom of fibromyalgia, with many also describing sharp knife-like pains, stinging sensations, crawling feelings, and muscle twitching that can appear and disappear without warning. Several members shared that symptoms often worsen with inactivity and can spread unpredictably throughout the body, including hands, wrists, arms, and ribs, making everyday tasks like writing or using a phone extremely difficult. A recurring theme was the comfort of knowing they are not alone in these bizarre and painful experiences, with one member finding some relief through Topamax for nerve pain and migraines.

I know I'm not alone! And I've added something else to my list of weird symptoms. I've mentioned it before. But it's gotten a lot worse. What started out as (don't you hate it, when you can't remember how to spell an easy word?!) Ok! Let's try this another way! It's like arthritis in my wrist! Then it went into my thumb. And it started to work it's way up my arm! Into my elbow. Then into my shoulder! And now it's in my other wrist and hand! I can't write anymore! It's pure agony in my fingers! And now it's getting to where I can't even push the buttons on my phone!! It's taken me almost a half hour to write this! I hate this crap!!!
