Hole In Head/feeling Of Emptiness
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi everyone.

So my mother also has fibromylagia and lately she's been having a strange feeling on her head. She says it feels empty and it seems she has a hole on the top of her head and feel dizzy.
Anyone with this problem?

Thanks

Hi luv, tell your mum she is not alone, i thought i was until I read your note.
I had scans on my head, to rule out anything sinister.
I would like you to suggest that she goes to have this looked at. Because to many times, it is easy to just put it under the label of" being part of fibro".
Many years I did that and i created such stress and anxiety. Now i push for things to be looked at properly.
I found a dr who doesnt push my health issues under the fibro rug. It was a very important step in creating a sense of security.
Personally though I would take extra care right now when going anywhere.
Take care sweet , your mum is lucky to have such a caring daughter. Regards Sam

Yes, I’ve been getting pains on the top of my head. Its not the usual pain I get from Migraine, where half of my head hurts and I’m nauseated. This is just pain on the very top and it hurts when I try to press it. I’ve been feeling this off and on for about a couple months. I also get dizzy just when I wake up in the morning or one hour after I wake up. I’ve just been taking all my regular meds and pain meds. My mom suggested that I brew ginger and take it as tea. Have not tried it but we’ll see. As for the empitness feeling, that might be just the Fibro Fog where many of us cannot remember things all of a sudden. Fibro Fog is common in FM. Hope your Mom finds comfort that you are helping her with this 🤗

Tell her to get a referral for a neurologist. Theey are the experts in head issues.

I sometimes get that maybe just before or after a migraine, kind of a tingliness but tender to the touch?
