I've been on meds for fibromyalgia turn over 30 years. Currently I take cymbalta, tizanidine, and gabapentin. I know it's really frustrating, but you can talk to your doctor how about different dosages and different alternatives. I have found that the muscle relaxers stop working after a while and they need to be changed. Before I was on cymbalta, I had been on various other antidepressants over the years. Cymbalta has helped me now for quite a while.I believe it's one of the only medications that helps with depression, insomnia and pain. I have found that it takes quite a while the changeover to different antidepressants. I hope that you and your doctor find what's right for you as fast as possible.

try P.E.A. Palmitoylethanol amide - a suppliment that is the same compound as part of nerves that help us deal with pain, being given to MS patients here in Aust. what happens when you take Gababpentin ?

It is only a short time drug. The dr told me that this is to be expected. So i would go off it for a while.
I am now on pain patches, they're not morphine so I'm not drowsey from them. Best thing i ever did.

I also found after time I had to change or up dosages. I can't take pain management meds. Side effects are worse than the pain.

I take amitriptyline as well. I’m not really sure if it does anything or not but I’m also only on 10 mg. Talk to your doctor about dosage, maybe they need to up your dose.
