Yes, I often get the feeling like a rib is floating and digging in when I bend over.
Yes. If I move a certain way, I get an immediate & intense muscle spasm that always affects the right side of my front rib cage. It is very painful & forces the air out of my lung on the right side. There is no cracking or sound. It's like a boa constrictor is squeezing me.

I have found stretching really helps a lot. Go to Pinterest and google stretches for chest, sides and back. I start my day with stretching. Even before I get out of bed.
