I have a video hearing next wk at my lawyers office for disability. Has anyone here had one of these? Do you have any tips or ideas that could help me please?

I would explain how the "brain fog" effects your ability to focus and cognitive skills. It's not just a physical problem but very much a mental problem also. I am on permanant disability for physical and mental issues associated with fibromyalgia and other issues. My lawyer handled most but I couldn't stop crying because of my anxiety. At the end the judge said " off the record, I wish you all the best." I was just a nervous wreck. I didn't like having to be around all those people and the environment. I also have PTSD and anxiety and depression. By cognitive skills suffer greatly from my fibromyalgia though making it very hard to function in this modern technology world especially. Good luck and believe in your heart that it will all work out well for you and it will.

Your lawyer will do most of the talking. I'll tell you what was told to me by the lawyers asst who worked on my case tirelessly. DON'T dress up and put make etc on. Just wear your regular clothes that you would any normal day. No jammies though lol. If they see you have the ability to take time to get yourself all fixed up it can show them you are capable of getting yourself ready for work each day etc. For ex: I have problems with my hands, standing/ sitting/ walking etc too long. As most of us, it's an effort to do anything for long. So I told him how I don't even style my hair cause I can't hold my hands up and no energy. It's an effort to where my husband has to literally lift my legs in and out of tub for me, help undress me etc. And some days, sad to say, I'm hurting so bad, don't even care if I shower the pain is so bad. Describe what's this disease has taken from you. And remember, if you or anyone reading this is denied, DON'T GIVE UP!! I got mine on my 3rd appeal. They want you to give up. BUT WE ARE WARRIORS. I pray all of your pain is gone & blessings for all of you in Jesus name amen. Love n hugs cathy

Tell them everything of your worst days mentally physically emotionally how it affects you the pain if you have muscle spasms if you swell up absolutely everything write things down cause that what I did as fibro has robbed me of me it dictates what clothes I can wear what I can eat even when I sleep. Hope this helps

Maybe ask your solicitor to go through a mock interview with some of the questions they may ask.
