I feel for you. The only thing which helps my fatigue is by taking 'east meets west' female vitamins. I noticed a difference after 2 days. Though I forget to take them. They do a male formula too.
The researchers I've listened to have suggested a consistent, moderate scheduling of our energy and time. Pushing ourselves is definitely NOT in our best interest. One of the big problems the doctors are seeing is that, fibro sufferers tend to overdo it on the days they feel good to make up for all the things they didn't do on the bad flare days (which then creates the cycle). They said that we should try to do something (not too much) everyday on a consistent basis. It takes all of us, that were once very active, time and trial and error to find the pattern that will allow us to live life to the fullest possible without putting so much pressure on our bodies. It sounds like you have not yet discovered what that pattern needs to be for you. I realize that it's hard to do and we all wish that we didn't have to cut back so much on our goals and lives. But it is nice when you can find more of a 'smooth sailing' spot and lessen the amount of times of total depletion. I hope you find this helpful.
Hi I wish I had your energy to attend that many classes a day and still keep up at home. Fibro is never predictable. Take the time to take care of your self. Hugs
This makes me sad for you. I’m fortunate that fibro didn’t hit full fledge hit until I was already old and boring.
I used to do terrible things for energy (guzzle coffee, energy drinks, take caffeine pills) and though they would work temporarily, I‘d pay ten fold later. I have stopped trying to force energy into myself, but like I said, I’m already old and boring.
Taking a power nap really can help. Even if you can’t force yourself to sleep, try to relieve tension in your achy body. I sometimes do deep relaxation/meditation/ or self hypnosis to get my body to relax deeply, even if for just a few minutes. I know it won’t give you that bump of adrenaline but it might get you through a hockey game with friends.
Water and Coffee sometimes a diet coke but i normally need a coffee around 2 to get me though the rest of the day. I might take a nap when I get home as well before I make dinner.
