I saw from a documentary that meditation might help. But I’m not sure how or where to start. I will be trying a free session tonight but want to know if it helped any FM sufferers
If you can’t make the drive every day can you dedicate time at home? I do attend a weekly session at our local
Hospital but dedicate time every day at home as well. Once you get the basics down it really is just about taking the time to meditate regularly. It’s gets easier to focus on the meditation every time. I use an app that my social worker suggested. It is called Insight Timer. It has hundreds of free guided meditations and music tracks. They are divided by category. I use the sleep music every night to help me fall asleep faster. You are sure to find something that you like and works for you. Meditation has helped me in so many ways.
Meditation and mindfulness are taught usually on pain management courses. Can be super helpful. Good luck xx
I try to do meditation when I can. Even if it is just for three to five minutes. I believe it does help some. It brings you back to center so you are not focusing so much on your pain and fatigue and gives you a more positive vibe. The more we focus on the pain and fatigue and get upset about it, the worse it gets. But when we try to focus on positive things we can manage it better. It doesn't mean it goes away, but at least your mind is not completely focused on it.
There are lots of free meditation apps and podcasts worth trying.
Good luck xx
Guided meditations for pain help me all the time. If I can fall asleep during one of them, I feel better when I wake up. I thought I had answered this, but, I don't think I did. I know its old, but, I thought I would share.
