Members rallied around someone struggling with severe restless legs syndrome (RLS) that disrupts sleep and worsens pain, with many sharing that they face the same exhausting combination. Several members described treatments that have helped them find relief, including low-dose Mirapex or Requip (though some noted these medications lost effectiveness over time), weighted blankets, compression stockings, magnesium cream, stretching, and CBD or medical marijuana products like RSO oil or tinctures. A recurring theme was the profound impact of sleep deprivation on pain levels and overall wellbeing, along with frustration over doctors being hesitant to prescribe adequate pain relief, leaving many to explore alternative therapies and lean on prayer and community support.

I have had my restless legs under control with low dose Mirapex

Yes! It is soo frustrating! I was recently prescribed Robinerole. I take an hour or so before be and that along with medical marijuana right before bed has really helped my sleep a lot of the time. Doesn't always work but does often and its the best help I've gotten so far.

Yes! Medical marijuana helps a lot, too. "RSO," also known as "Rick Simpson Oil" is great!

Hi guys,
I have a history of restless leg, too. My mother has severe RLS. The doctors put her on Requip, too, and it doesn't help that much.
Myself, I have been using CBD, and it actually helps for me, and I sleep better when I take it. I use about 25-30 mg during the day, and 50 mg at night for sleep, but you can adjust it more or less according to your need. If my RLS is bad, I will take around 75 mg. It is available over-the-counter.
I have what I consider nerve pain that feels like an electric current coursing throughout my body. It's horrible. I have found that quality CBD helps to calm that down or relieve it.
Anyway, that's been my experience.

I tried the weighted blanket and woke up with terrible pain from my neck to down my legs. I thought it was from the pressure on my body.
