I know this sounds really silly but does anyone else suffer with a sore head, it's not like a headache it's just my scalp that feels sore. I sometimes feel like this illness is driving me crazy.

Members widely validated the experience of scalp pain with fibromyalgia, describing sensations ranging from soreness and hypersensitivity to burning and feeling like hair follicles are being pulled, with many noting the pain worsens during flares and makes everyday tasks like washing, brushing, or wearing ponytails nearly unbearable. Several members shared that they've cut their hair shorter to make it more manageable, use heating pads for relief, or gently massage tender points around the skull, though some cautioned against overdoing self-massage as it can cause weeks of additional pain. A recurring theme was the frustration of doctors dismissing these symptoms and the comfort found in knowing they're not alone or crazy, with many expressing hope that medical understanding will eventually catch up to their lived experiences.

YES! I have scalp pain almost constantly. I have a hard time washing and brushing my hair. It doesn't sound silly at all. I use a heating pad for my scalp. Hope this helps............

Take care,
