Do any of you get pains that almost feel like rug burn pains? I get that burning pain on my neck, upper back and shoulders but recently I’ve been getting this pain down my left side (hip and leg) and it feels like a rug burn on both the outside and inside. Very weird.

Members widely confirmed experiencing rug burn-like pain, most commonly in the legs, back, shoulders, neck, and hips, with many describing it as a hot, burning sensation that feels like nerve pain or hypersensitive skin even when the area is cool to the touch. Several members shared that this pain is a common symptom of fibromyalgia and can also result from muscles being stretched or nerve endings becoming overly sensitive, with some finding temporary relief through cool packs or soothing treatments. A recurring theme was the frustration of dealing with pain so intense that even clothing against the skin feels unbearable, met with empathy and gentle support from others navigating the same daily struggles.

Yes I do, down my legs many nights, it takes me up, feels like my skin is so hot, but when I touch it, it's fairly cool. It is painful. I've put it down to nerve endings being very sensitive.

That sounds like what I get. I've only been able to describe it as a severe sunburn on my shoulders and back and legs. It's so frustrating. Sometimes I don't want my clothes touching me
