Who used CBD? I sometimes take drops and I definitely use CBD cream on my sore muscles which really works! I take amitriptyline at night which was just recently prescribed and I don’t really like being on pain meds. I think it works but I’m not sure because my muscles and bones in my back have been feeling a bit better but I’m doing several different things including amitriptyline. Was wondering if I could possibly get the same affects by just taking CBD oil before I go to bed to get myself off… read more

Members shared their varied experiences with CBD oil and cream for fibromyalgia pain management, with some finding it helpful for muscle soreness and sleep while others felt it wasn't strong enough or required consistent daily use to build up in the system effectively. Several members discussed alternatives to amitriptyline, including Kratom (noting both positive experiences and controversy), turmeric supplements, hot baths, and THC/CBD combinations, with recurring advice to research thoroughly and avoid multilevel marketing products. A common theme was the frustration of managing chronic pain with limited options, the high cost of quality CBD products, and the importance of finding what works individually through trial and patience.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Kratom works great for Fibromyalgia. It's not legal in some states, but most . I'm in Missouri and I was forced to go off Fentanyl Patches that worked fantastic for me. The Opioid scare is terrible here and so I had to find something that would take the constant pain away. I have Arthritis as well in my back and have had Fibromyalgia for 28 years. The Kratom makes a great difference. Cali Botanical is the most resonable place to buy it if anyone is interested. I also use gel ice packs that help at night also, plus a elevated bed . I hope this helps someone.

I use CBD by day and a balanced CBD/THC at night. I get a good rest at night and relief by day without any "high" or impairment.

Amitriptyline is not a pain med. I know they prescribe it to help with tension and anxiety. I take flexeril and nsaids for my muscles if the tightness is too bad. Many people take cbd for muscle and joint pain. Like anything else you have to do thorough research and find out which works for you. Some people benefit without thc and some need a little. Cbd does help with many things like sleeping and anxiety. I have yet to try, but will consider before taking anything like gabapentin or cymbalta. Do not buy from anyone using mlm(multilevel marketing) marketing. Avoid offers from people/companies offering free bottle of cbd. Definitely worth trying from what I hear about it. Have you tried any natural supplements like turmeric? My in laws swear by it. Good luck

I put the powder in capsules and take every 5 hours. I'm allergic to a lot of medicine. There's not much left for me to take. The Pharmaceutical Companies can't get their hands on it and so they have the FDA trying to stop it . I've had no side bad side effects from Kratom at all . If I miss a dose I don't have any withdrawals at all . I've been on it for a year. Also I use CBD Oil in a inhaler and it helps some. Anyway, we have a Chronic Illness that there's no cure for and if something works that won't be harmful, why not. At this point after 28 years I'm willing to try something different.
Has anyone tried Medical Marijuana for Chronic Pain ? They legalized here in Missouri and people are supposed to get use of it by June.

CBD is cumulative is what my prescribing doctor told me. It needs to be in your system consistently in order to get the full benefits of it. That’s why so many people don’t think it works when they take one or two doses and feel no great benefit. It stays in your system about 6/7 hours. I try to dose that often but take at least three 1ml doses per day, spread out. I find it is not as effective anymore for my pain and it’s very expensive to use. The cheapest I can get in a medical grade oil is $100 for 50 ml.....so if you do the math I need at least two bottles a month. Then I use a high THC Indica oil at night. That can last much longer but still $40 a month..... I’m not going to mention the flower I vape to provide some acute relief. I even grew my own in an effort to reduce the cost of it. The long and short of it is, CBD is effective to manage the pain when taken properly but it may not work for everyone, especially those with very severe pain. To be honest, I find many of the high THC strains to be way more effective for killing pain but they’re short acting and of course impairing. Medical cannabis, particularly CBD oil, is all I currently use for pain management but after 5 years, I need more symptom relief since my pain has increased over the years. Always worth a try. Good luck 😉
