I have really been struggling with my symptoms. While stress and overdoing are my triggers, often there are no triggers, and I still have symptoms. I can be sleeping and feeling well one day, then wake up with awful fatigue and fibro fog the next and it will go on for days. I went to visit my sister who lives nearby, and when I got up the next morning, I felt like I had been hit by a truck. I even struggle with grocery shopping now.. I just had my checkup, everything is normal..I have thisโ€ฆ read more

Members strongly validated the original poster's experience with unpredictable fibromyalgia symptoms, confirming that sudden flares, overwhelming fatigue, and the loss of former capabilities are hallmark struggles of the condition. Several members shared coping strategies including pacing oneself throughout the day, using TENS units for pain relief, engaging in manageable creative projects like adult coloring books, and allowing themselves to rest without guilt when symptoms become severe. A recurring theme was the importance of listening to your body, leaning on supportive family members, and finding comfort in the understanding and solidarity of the fibromyalgia community.

I feel the same way especially in the morning. The fatigue really gets me down. I also struggle with severe back pain and leg pain daily. I have had five back surgeries and some days are so bad. I have had fibromyalgia since 1986. I know how we who have fibromyalgia really suffer and the only people who understand are the people who have it. Our fibro family are wonderful and we can help one another with what has helped us. Take care God Bless all of us who are trying to make the best of it. Love to all. Elaine

i empathize with you. so much. it is a lot learning to deal with a flare- especially when you feel like you've learned so much about your triggers and all of a sudden, a flare hits you & you can't even trace back to a source. asking for help and affirmations during a flare has been crucial for me- I'm glad you're reaching out here. I'm sorry i don't have more help to offer just empathy.

I was diagnosed in August 2016 but have had the symptoms since I was about 15. I'm 49 now. It's frustrating but the more you go with it and listen to your body, it helps you heaps. Such is the price we pay for enjoying life ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿฆ‹
