Yes, I am taking amlodipine. Lightheaded and off balance. My heart rate is sporadic. An EMS Parsmedic told me my heart rate was up most of the night. Dr told me there is something he could give me but it would make me sluggish.
Did the new meds make you tired?

I had the same symptom. Calcium channel blockers (but not amlodipine ) can bring heart rate down. My doctor prescribed Cardizem (diltiazem)30 mg, the starting dose once a day, and gradually increasing to twice a day. This treatment has been working well for me, my heart rate is about 80.

I didn't know tachycardia could be contributed to fibromyalgia (again though, I am newly diagnosed). I agree, better to check with your doctor to be on the safe side. When I get tachycardia I try to consciously zen. It works sometimes. A big hug and hope you feel better!
