Dysautonomia?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

How common are dysautonomia in fibromyalgia?

I was just diagnosed with one yesterday (IST) ...
ive been having this weird heart palpitations since 2015 (Specially when changing positions, drinking water and eating), along with neck pain.

how many of you have this, or know about it?

The connection is the brain and possibly the limbic system especially. It is the PTSD connection also to fibro. The brain gets stuck in a fight or flight mode and is hypervigilant. Dysautonomia is common in all sorts of brain conditions, fibro and cfs included.

Background Neuropsychiatric symptoms are common in Fibromyalgia (FMS). FMS is associated with dysautonomia, particularly orthostatic intolerance, in which there is a phenomenological overlap with anxiety. FMS and dysautonomia are both associated with joint hypermobility (JHS).

Hmmm.... that is probably your connection then. Have you checked out DNRS, Annie Hopper? Her program is supposed to treat PTSD as well as fibro and dysautonomia.
