Does anybody has a sore throat? My throat hurts almost everyday for the past 2 months, I also wake in the middle of the night because of the pain. It also hurts when I press on the front of my neck.

Members shared their experiences with chronic sore throat symptoms, with many pointing to acid reflux and post-nasal drip as common culprits, alongside allergies and swollen lymph nodes that often accompany fibromyalgia. Several members offered practical strategies including avoiding food after 6pm, cutting caffeine and spicy foods, using prescription medications like Protonix or over-the-counter throat numbing sprays, and taking L-Lysine supplements to manage Epstein-Barr Virus flare-ups. A recurring theme was the frustration of undergoing extensive testing with no clear answers, yet finding relief through trial and error with various treatments and lifestyle adjustments.

My fibromyalgia and CFS were triggered by Epstein Barr Virus (mono or glandullar fever) which recurrs constantly if im stressed or in a flare. Causes the sore throat and swollen glands. You can get 2 blood tests for it, 1 shows if youve ever had it and the second shows if its active. I take 1000mg of L Lysiene a day as a natural antiviral to try keep it at bay and it works well.

I’ve suffered with a sporadic sore throat for a couple of years now, dr gave me a numbing spray to use when it’s bad, if you pay for prescriptions you can buy the same throat sprays over the counter. We thought mine was possibly allergy related but it seems very random so maybe it is fibro related? Dr never investigated it, just gave me the spray lol

I’ve had a sore throat the past couple of days, but I thought it would just be allergies, I would not have dreamed it being fibromyalgia related?????

Yes. I’ve had this for months. Also pain along front of neck as well. My lymph nodes are also tender. Have all sorts of testing done. Nothing shows up.
