I am currently in my 3rd week off work due
To my legs going completley & leaving me unable to walk. This is not the first time this has happened & is the 2nd time this year & my doctor says i need to learn to pace myself. I do work full time but spend most weekends resting in order to recooperate is this not enough?
How do you learn to pace yourself ? Any tips appreciated

I’m currently dealing with this. I’ve been working full-time and it takes all weekend laying in bed to recuperate. I just got on disability and will be leaving my job to go part time and I’m still afraid that part time is too much at this point. I don’t ever get the why me’s or anything like that but everyday I struggle mentally with anxiety trying to juggle it all. Needless to say, I’m finding it impossible.

It is hard to pace yourself as there is so much to do and time goes quickly. I use to work full time and when I woke in the morning my toes were curled under my feet, I was in so much pain I could cry and one time I was shopping and my legs wouldn't move. I find I have to go to bed about 6pm/6.30pm sometimes without dinner and I always rest with my legs on a pillow. In bed I have a pillow between my knees so no pressure is taken by the underneath one. I go swimming and sit in a jacuzzi and steam room which I find helps. I dont push myself swimming and just do as much as I want. I try not to think about all the things that I need to get done and when I do household chores I sit for 10-15mins every 10mins I clean. It is difficult to slow your pace down. With me I use to be very independent and find it difficult to ask for help. I am use to putting up wallpaper, doing garden etc..but cant even do my own shoes up or cut my toe nails. Very frustrating. I do part time now but working 6 hours without a break I am finding difficult.
