Postmenopause
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Ok, l have an embarrassing question for my sisters please. I’m having some post menopausal bleeding and light cramps for the first time in a least three years. I assume/hope it might be a fibroid, cyst or maybe just hormone imbalance. I’ve been on HRT for couple of years and done well with it.
Spoke with nurse, she said when l go in they will do an ultrasound first. Just curious if anyone has been through a similar situation and how it played out. Thank you very much for your advice.

Ladies I am a retired nurse and I would strongly suggest that anyone who has bleeding after the menopause to have it checked by your GP do not ignore it.Love and best wishes to all.

Praying that it's nothing. My grandmother had that problem and had colon cancer. It is best to have it checked out.

Good evening Marsha! It looks like I am going to be the only one with a different outcome on this question. And I pray that you will be in that group as well but my spotting about 3 yrs after menopause turned out to be cancer. It was caught earlier enough that with surgery and a couple of brachytherapy treatments ( where radiation seeds are planted in cervix) and I was cured and been cancer free for 7 years now. There's so much they can do now. So please go get it checked out as soon as possible! Most of the time it is nothing important but going thru a different outcome, I want you to be safe and not sorry!! My prayers are with you sweetie!! Love & hugs!
