A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I was sitting at my kitchen table working a puzzle, when I got this severe pain that felt like it was my muscle right across the bottom of my ribcage. The pain radiated into my chest and back. It was hard to move and laying down was impossible. My mother in law suggested Tums, a hot beverage, and a heating pad. Did all that. After a little over an hour the pain went away in my stomach except for if I coughed or breathed too deep. It stayed severe in the back and sides. I do have small gallstones… read more

Could be gallstones??...One may have lodged into the bile duct. Maybe it passed through and/or dislodged itself? You dont need to have large gallstones to have issues, small ones can be just as troublesome. If your pain continues, even if it is intermittent, I would suggest u go back to your doctor and ask for an ultra sound to check it out..it could be something else. Just sharing out of my own experience.

Definitely go and see your Doctor and ask for a ultrasound scan of your gallstones and check for kidney stones as well, just to be on the safe side.

When I have had a gallstone attack the pain is horrendous but I had to lay down as well, and throwing up as well.

I'd definitely get it checked out but I have had the same thing. When I had my gallbladder and it flared on one occasion, iI truly thought I was having a heart attack. You should get it checked. God bless. Hope you feel better. πŸ™β€
