I am a Christian and have always had a very active prayer life. I continue to have a heart for others and I have the desire to pray for them, but my body is just too tired sometimes. I feel that I'm not being as faithful in prayer as I need to be because of the fatigue. Has anyone else had this problem? Did you find any way to maintain an active prayer life in spite of being exhausted? Thank you!

Members deeply connected over the struggle of maintaining prayer life while battling overwhelming fatigue from chronic illness, with many sharing the guilt and grief they feel when exhaustion prevents them from interceding for others as they once did. Several members offered spiritual comfort through scripture, particularly Romans 8:26, reminding one another that the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf when we're too weak to find the words, and emphasizing that God's grace extends to us too, meeting us exactly where we are without condemnation. A recurring theme was that prayer doesn't require perfect focus or energy, that simply talking to God from the heart while resting counts, and that trusting in Christ's finished work on the cross allows us to release guilt and rest in His love rather than striving in our own strength.

Jesus is intercediing with sighs too deep for words. Rest in Jesus.

God meets me where I am at. There is one thing for sure with fibro, we have to make ourselves to do what our bodies don't want to do. The worst thing you can do to yourself, is put yourself under condemnation. God is a God of Love, he is Love. Just let him lead you. He will show you and talk to you. Remember, if it is a voice of condemnation, it isn't God.

PeggyWallace thank you for your encouraging words reminding me that it is not I but Christ that lives in me now and that that I need to just rest in Him.
