I just started back on using Tumeric supplements. I used them in past, although admittedly not consistently, so I want to try again.
I’ve noticed many people here use Tumeric. How effective is it and how long do you need to take it to start feeling relief?
Thanks.
Add Cumin Cinnamon Ginger Anise Marjoram and Cayeene Pepper...Put it on all the food you eat...Make up a pitcher of cinnamon..ginger ..Marjoram.. olive oil and Apple Cider Vinegar..stir and drink that several times a day... Stop drinking coffee .. caffeine causes inflamation...You will see a difference in your joint pain. Good luck🙋🤸♂️
I have some turmeric in my coffee every morning with a bit of coconut butter ( apparently consuming some kind of healthy fat with the turmeric makes it easier to absorb). I swear that doing this every day has helped my pain levels significantly. It definitely takes a little time and consistency with using it (they're herbs/spices, not NSAIDS!) so try being consistent and using it in as many of your meals as you can along with the supplements and I think you'll notice a difference :)
Olga, I do take a turmeric supplement but because it does sometimes bother my stomach, I also take a teaspoon of cocoanut oil along with it. It does help! I'm not sure how long it took to "kick in" when I first started taking it but I do notice a bit of a "back-slide" when I ran out and didn't get out to purchase more for 4 - 5 days. I now order my supplements online, with a three day guaranteed delivery, so I don't run out of any of them. @A MyFibroTeam Member I am trying to cut out all sugars and preservatives. I don't eat much of that sort of thing but my last blood test showed a reading of 6.6 which is prediabetic. I've another "blood sucking" appointment in October.
Works with chicken too. I use lettuce instead of cabbage with chicken but cilantro lime dressing is still delicious.

I was seeing a functional doctor, she had me on several supplements. I had a bad reaction to one of them. We often think supplements can’t hurt you....but some can.
