Members connected deeply over the sharp, pinching pains in their legs and arms that feel like bee stings or bug bites, with nearly everyone sharing that they experience similar nerve-related sensations that can be sudden, piercing, and life-altering. Several members offered practical strategies that have helped them manage these neuropathy symptoms, including medications like gabapentin, Neurontin, and tizanidine, topical treatments such as diclofenac gel, lidocaine ointment, and peppermint oil, as well as natural approaches like B-complex vitamins, eating bananas for potassium, staying hydrated, and using ice, heat, or gentle stretching. A recurring theme was the unpredictable and exhausting nature of these nerve pains, the importance of working with rheumatologists and neurologists to assess potential nerve damage, and the ongoing trial-and-error process of finding what works for each individual body.

Oh, MY! No.Thankfully, I do not have *that symptom. Two suggestions:

1. PLEASE at least check to see if there is a local pharmacist, who can make *Compound Morphine Cream. I'm now using from my waist down to my feet. But one MUST carry a written prescription to pharmacist. We JUST got return call about *Pain Pills. Since I'm using the cream, I cannot take "anything strong" for pain. In Virginia, they wouldn't, anyway.

2. *CVS Pharmacy has a clear *Anti-Itch Gel that is sold over the counter. I use every day, after taking a shower. This is when my back and shoulders get those "Bee Stings." It helps a lot. Please try.

Hey I get those! This weekend I had a solid left leg “attack” of them and iced the area where I have degenerative spine stuff, and it helped the first time, but not so the second time, probably because I persisted in my activity. I don’t hav e neurology appt for a while but this has been increasing for me...I will grab my leg as if stung by a bee or wasp. Less so on my arms but once in a while near my neck. Yuck! I think it is totally nerve stuff...don’t you guys?

Yes, I get it a lot before also. I don't take gabapentin anymore. See your rheumatologist & neurologist to check if there is nerve damage. I take Tizanidine daily, a muscle relaxant and I rub Diclofenac cream/gel, a prescription compound mixed by the pharmacist. I know how those sharp pains hurt. I'm sorry, Sis. 🙏🙏🙏

I take 4B complex am and pm and helps. Started after weaned off gabapentin. I also use essential oils frankincense, vetiver and lavender. Meripax helps also. I take as dopamine angst for damage fibromyalgia does to hippocampus and production of dopamine. It also increases energy. I take 0.5 am and afternoon and 1.0 at bedtime.
