The pill or any hormonal contraception causes hormonal imbalance (thusly tricking your body not to produce eggs), that's its job. Unfortunately because of this different people have different reactions to each one. Which can cause, in "healthy" people, mania, worse PMS, heavier more painful periods, depression and pain. Put that with the fibro you already have can play havoc with you.
There are lots and lots of different pills and other contraception options (hormonal or otherwise), such as depo injection, the implant, IUDs etc etc. Unfortunately it can be a trial and error sort of thing until you find one that works best for you.
