I invested in Beats headphones so when I go out I can just have music on, and people don’t typically talk to me then because they see my headphones. It helps me walk around the grocery store, take a walk in nice weather, etc. it feels like I’m still in my cocoon but I’m out moving.
You sound like a warrior to me! And yes, people are nosey and judgemental! Remember, every day you look in the mirror, you are looking at your boss. Your life, your way...
Sherilynn, you are in CO too. Dr. Stuart Kassan in Lakewood is the best Rheumatologist . He was here in the forefront of CFS. & Fibro 25 years ago. Sometimes the wait to see him is long but when you do you become his only patient. I am very lucky in that his office isn’t far from me. It would be a trip for you but very well worth it if you could manage it. He has a free book on Amazon. I will post the link. Don’t let the moving boxes get to you!
I was really bad with it, but then I thought this is going to kill me. I could barely walk, but I knew I have to get it moving. I'm beginning to walk more. I've joined a gym, but I've only went twice, because if I'm not out of the house and my knee is hurting I'm not going. It's a constant fight. But sitting around is going to kill us, for sure. My body started hurting because I wasn't moving. I started thinking about blood clots in my legs, stiffening hip joints, weight gain, and my heart. That was my motivation. I am nowhere near in any kind of shape. The first time I went to the gym, I could barely make half a mile. And I had to sit down half way through. Week and a half later, I did one round of circuit training just to get the feel. I know that I have to build up my strength and endurance. Afterwards I did a half a mile in the treadmill, took a 6 minute break and did the other half. It's been one week. I'm hoping to go this Saturday, Sunday and Monday. In going to concentrate on 3 rounds of circuit training. Hopefully. Try your best to move in some kind of way, even if it's walking around your house. Socialization has never mattered to me. I'm happy being by myself. Best of luck to you.
