I read with interest your post about being gluten and dairy free. It reminded me of why I felt so bloated after eating pizza this past weekend. Bloating, headaches etc
The kids were here!
I eat only a piece of rye toast in the morning with fruit and normally zero rice, pasta, other bread
And zero milk, custards etc
For me it’s chicken and fish mostly with vegetables
Life has improved since then. IBS virtually disappeared.
I’m allergic to balsamic vinegars and cannot drink beer or wine so I abstain. Water is my hero!

Unfortunately for me I found zero difference in my general health, my fibro, or my weight. I do benefit from limited dairy and cutting back on animal protein.
@A MyFibroTeam Member, the same allergy Dr who did your plants test should be able to do the other. There are several blood tests they can do. They also put you on an exclusion diet which takes you off everything that causes food allergies and then you add things back in one at a time. There is a book that can help you with that The Autoimmune Solution by Amy Myers. She has a diet built around it. I found the specific diet too expensive but I was able to cut out all the bad things and still eat healthy. That's where I found my allergy to dairy. I also do better with no gluten.
i've personally been gluten + dairy free for about 6 years, but was diagnosed only six months ago so obviously, i still have stuff going on. i will say that when i eat wheat, i experience brain fog and digestive issues intensely. when i eat dairy, i get hot flashes, redness in my face and intense headache and sore throat.
when i was first cutting these things out of my diet i kept myself really full for a few days so i wouldn't reach for bread out of habit. it takes extra cash and spoons to start an elimination diet, so it took me a while to get the rhythm of cutting them out completely. but now i can say that i genuinely don't crave them at all. i never want them, because i know it will aggravate my health.
i had an allergen test about three years ago that confirmed, that i am allergic to dairy (though i already knew that) and intolerant to wheat, sugar and bizarrely, radishes. i actually love radishes so i still eat them sometimes :)
i hope you get some relief <3
Yes I cute back on bread. Now eat rye!
No rice or pasta
Feel better in Veg’s, fish and chicken
