Itchy " Invisible Bruises", Anyone?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I experience what I call "itchy bruises" although I see no indication of a true bruise in these instances.

Out of nowhere, I'm itchy (could be legs, usually, or abdomen, head.. doesn't matter) and when I scratch, my flesh feels as if I am bruised in that area; deep in the tissues.. No sign of a bruise, no discoloration, doesn't last forever- Maybe an hour or so (I try to distract myself) and is really very uncomfortable.

I can't find anything out there about others having this symptom.

Sorry to hear about that. You are not alone, I have exactly the same in my abs, shoulders, chest, back and in my upper legs. Very painful when I scratch but it only last about 30 secs or so. All the best and lots of love!

I have no doubt it's from the fibro, I'd just never heard anyone talk about it. The docs of course just shrug.. 😒

I do get that; thankfully, not very often. And it doesn't last long, very painful and an odd sensation. No idea why, just thought it was from fibro 😣 ((gentle hugs)) 💜💮 🌺🐝🍯🍋☕

Yes I also get itching and if I scratch it I can cause a bruise sometimes I have actual bruises appear out of nowhere don't have to bump something very hard to get them.
