i got mine through a lawyer that said it's not so much what the fibro does to you physically but what it does to you mentally and emotionally. this makes no sense to me whatsoever since the pain and fatigue are debilitating for me but i went for counseling sessions anyway to complain about my struggles and he got me the disability. the counseling never helped with anything but whatever it takes i suppose.
I have one suggestion: if you get denied, apply again and again. Be relentless!
I am not sure about fibromyalgia alone... when you present with several different factors that are all disabling in themselves, it gets more likely to get on disability... just the waiting that is difficult... good luck
What helps is getting a Cognitive test done.A psychologist can give you the test..Its shows we have a hard time remembering things.or focusing...or have a hard time paying to details,,Fibro Fog is real and this test proves we all suffer from Fibro Fog.Since it is provable by this test..and Cognitive problems will affect our job performance a lot..in so many area's when working..Social Security can not deny this test results.since its done by a Psychologist..usually when turning in you results to Social Security you win your case. They are not interested in your 200 other symptoms...but they can not deny we have Fibro Fog because it is provable..Cognitive problems are real..and affect our job tremendosuly
pretty much impossible
