Members connected over the frustrating experience of eye twitching, with many sharing that it often happens when they're tired, reading too long, or exposed to screens for extended periods. Several members described eye strain as a common trigger and noted that twitching usually resolves on its own after a few days, though fluorescent or flickering lights can make symptoms significantly worse. A recurring theme was the suspicion that eye twitching may be connected to fibromyalgia, alongside other sensitivities like blurred vision, light sensitivity, and difficulty tolerating certain environments.

I also get a twitchy eye when I have eye strain and it can last a while. It usually happens when I find a good book and read more than an hour at a time.

I had this Helen, a little while back, mine followed extensive eye screening, bright lights, drops in eyes, scan of the back of my eyes...have you maybe strained your eyes, too much computer screen time, maybe? Mine stopped after a few days...I hope yours does soon...it really is annoying....πŸ’™πŸ’–πŸ’™

I agree. When my daughter was a toddler she would grizzled all the way round a particular store and stop when we left it. I can only assume that she was sensitive to their lighting.

Wondermum, yes. And certain stores that have that lighting have always been a problem for me. Actually can be disorienting at times.
