So I was diagnosed with FM about 4 years ago after constantly going to the doctor's on and off for 2 years, about pains in my arms, and feeling fluey all the time. It may not be the same thing but I spent my 50th birthday in the ER with chest pain so bad I couldn't move without yelping! (i'm 67 now so it was awhile ago ;) After x-rays and ultrasounds and several other test for my heart and lungs that I don't even remember anymore, they finally gave me IV Tramadol and a Dx of idiopathic intercostal pain and fibromyalgia. Again, not sure it's what we're talking about but it was bad and I've had it several times. That was the only way I could get rid of it. I don't get that any more and it was never constant. Always a sudden onset.
Hope this can help in some way. {{{hugs}}}
